Sunday morning the Brew Crew headed out to Maccomb for 2 out of 3 for the championship series for the Esler Division against the 2nd place team the Americans. The Brewers sent out Skipper Mark Morgan for game one where he would have a Steller outing striking out 17, 4 in the first inning I may add ;), while only alowing 1 hit in the game with no free passes.
So close.... Matt Rehfeldt had 2 Nonos this season fyi...
Things would get started on the offensive end For the Brewers Slowly but surely scrappng across Zachaski in the 2nd and Krom in the 3rd. The 4th is where the bats got moving with Scrappy hits and Coach number 2 Zac walter Smoking A Tripple to the wall in right while he ends up scoring to score 4 in the 4th. But the brewers wern't done adding 2 in the 5th With Zacharski Launching one over the Deep Left center field wall for his 5th HR of the year. Then adding 4 in the 6th to end up winning 12-0.
After a little chirpy game one The Brewers send out Zac Walter for game number 2. While the chirps got louder. Walter will go all 7 while only allowing 2 runs, only one of them being earned... tallying 9 Ks allowing 5 hits with no walks.
Pretty nice having 14 innings of no walks.
On the offensive end the Brewers went up against some velo from Carlos Tumpkin who would go 6 No-Hit innings allowing 2 walks with no runs scored. The Brewers heard plenty of Banter which may not have been the right move to a team with 20 wins on the season.... As the 7th inning starts They did much more than just put it in play... Brandon Krom and Zac walter Start the inning with some quality ABs working 2 walks in a row. 3rd batter of the inning skipper Mark Morgan ends the no hitter hitting a shot up the middle to load the bases.
Next would come a pitching change which then causes the Brewers to ERUPT as Chase Williamson Smokes a Double to left field to score 2 and tie up the game! Zacharski would follow up with a single of his own to take the lead 3-2... while the next 2 new Olivet Pitchers Matt Rehfeldt and Max Daust Shoot a double of their own while scoring themselves to add to the lead making it 7-2. Walter would walk back out to the mound to close it out going a clean one two three to keep them quiet and win the Playoffs for the third year in a row!
Time for the brewers to move to the Pistino division and come for the Yankees. Only the Brewers can 3 peat.
See you in 2024
Player shoutouts

#7 Dan Little - last years PO turning Into the main 3rd basemen had some nice hands this year making plenty stellar plays whle also having a few diving catches his few games in the outfiled. His bat keeps getting better and better each game and we cannot wait to see the monster he can become.
#8 Joey Bruce - The big team guy of the brew crew while setting the tone in the lineup as the 3 hitter catching a barrel basically every single AB, now that ball landing on the ground was a diffrent story.... I have never seen someone get robbed so many times.
Joey kept the team alive throughout the playoffs being the glue guy while being unavailable. A true team guy.
#9 Dan Smith - former manager of the brewers had a rough time being able to make it out this year. But when he could he made the most of it having one of the top averages on the team, seems to be a normal thing for this guy. We hope to have a full season for don next year.
#10 Tom Ciccone - last seasons best hitter on the brewers decided to play 30+ for most of the year being unfair.
