Greg McGlone scattered eight hits in route to solid complete game performance over the Firebirds. McGlone worked out of a base-loaded no-out 4th inning jam without surrending a run. Gene Baratta and Glenn Therrien powered the offense and Pat Kelly had a key first inning two RBI double helping the Tigers take an early lead they never relinquished.
Steve Kosuda and Larry Paladino each pitched complete games as the Tigers survived a late comeback by the Lugnuts to earn an 8-6 victory. Sam Adragna had a key two out two RBI hit, Jim Lozinski had three hits and Jess Monticello scored two runs to lead the Tigers attack.
The Tigers rallied from an early 3 run deficit to complete a season sweep of the Cardinals. Steve Kosuda, in relief of starter Mike Kimutis, entered the game in the 4th inning to a bases-loaded jam and shut down the Cardinals attack while picking up his seventh win of the season. The Tigers bats were led by Jess Monticello, Mike Kimutis and Glenn Therrien who combined for seven hits and 4 RBIs. The Tigers long ball attack was on display with triples by Ken Barnowski and Mike K. who also had a double.
In the second game of a doubleheader the Tigers sent twenty-one batters to the plate in the fifth inning scoring fifteen times to break open a close game in route to a 16-6 victory over the Red Sox. Mike Kimutis went a perfect 4-4 while Ken Barnowski provided the long ball with his second triple of the evening as well as a double. Ken now is the league leader with three triples. Glenn Therrien, Jess Monticello and Pat Kelly also had multi-hit games. Dennis Labrie knocked in three runs from the leadoff position. Jess Monticello pitched a complete game for the victory giving up just three earned runs.
The Tigers ended their regular season schedule and tuned up for a playoff run with a 15-4 victory. In picking up his fifth win, Greg McGlone silenced the Lugnut bats, and Gary Sovey made his first appearance of the season to close out the victory. The Tigers hiiting attack was paced by Ken's 3 hits and Gene Baratta and Pat Brainard combined for six RBIs.
