Greg Chastang and Greg Hunt had 2 rbis. Jeff Buller had 2 hits and scored twice . Rod Ritter also scored twice with 2 bbs and a stolen base.
John Poslajko smashed 2 doubles. And Greg Hunts blast to the right field wall that should have been a double. Led the anemic Dback offense. Art Wakeford hurled 5 and 2/3 scoreless inning. After relieving starter Greg Hunt and Jeff Buller.

Dback ace Art Wakeford came on in the 3rd inning to cool of the firebirds. As they only scored 3 runs 2 unearned. The rest of the game. Striking out 3. Wakeford also had 3 hits and drove in 3 runs.
Dback hurler Art Wakeford outdueled Lugnut hurler Mark Wrubel for the final playoff seed. In the 55 MSBL division. Wakeford shutout the Lugnuts allowing only 2 hits and striking out 4 in the snakes win. This was a classic low scoring pitchers duel. As the game took only 1 hr. and 25 minutes to complete.
